Bringing Light into the darkness

At KCC our heart is to be right where it matters, at the heart of communities, beside families in need, offering a helping hand when things seem at their darkest. Through simple acts we aim to share hope, bring words of life and light into dark situations.

We support people who are in urgent need of furniture and essential home items through our referral process. We accept referrals from all statutory and voluntary agencies, churches and from individuals who find themselves in a difficult situation.

Referrals can be made by sending us an email to or by telephoning and leaving a message with your contact telephone number either to our helpline 07748 235009 or 02891 467601.

Our Journey

Kiltonga Christian Centre began in Newtownards in 2009 before moving to its present location in Bangor in 2011. Kiltonga in Gaelic means ‘KIL’ – Church ‘TONGA’ – Tongue of Land.

Kiltonga Christian Centre seeks to share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ in word and in deed with the community in the Ards Peninsula and beyond.

We are Christ Followers from different denominations looking to live out Isaiah 58 –( The Bible.)

Our Vision

KCC is a community that values each person by responding to requests from agencies in an authentic expression of Christian concern through which practical needs are met and signposting offered.

Our aims

To help those in our community who lack the immediate resources to provide for themselves and let them know someone cares at a time when they feel at their lowest and are least able to help themselves.

To assist people in their need regardless of race or religion.

To deal with all referrals and requests in an entirely private and confidential manner.
